  1. There is not many shopping areas in Chiang Mai but it is a beautiful place to stay for a couple of days.

If you are interested to see more, just check into any hotels and join the 1 day tour groups. Their itinaries might include a visit to the tribe (with real big holes of their ears and with metal on their neck) and a sceanic view of the river.

Alternatively, you can just type the word Chiang Mai over Yahoo’s search engine. They gives you more ideas and insights.

  2. Some of the most popular things to do in Changmai:

    -Visit mountain hilltribes
-Elephant trekking, meaning you ride an elephant through the jungle
-If you like ATV’s, I would really suggest taking an ATV tour through the mountains, It’s not a difficult trail to ride, and I really enjoyed it. The scenery is awesome….

Sorry, I don’t like to give my messenger ID, especially to people I don’t know..

  3. They have great nature, and I love visiting the outdoor restaurants and cafe. Visiting natural parks are also great idea. Try this page for more information http://www.discovery-thailand.com/Chiang%20Mai%20hotels.html Have a nice trip!!

  4. see 100′s of 2008 Chiang Mai photos at http://www.visualthailand.com

You will see actual photos from all the attractions you will want to visit in Chiang Mai.

Advertising and commercial free website or real photos by real people living in Thailand.

  5. Since you will be in Chang Mai go ahead and take a bus or rent a car and driver and go north a little more and see Chang Rai. The golden triangle, a boat ride to Laos, elephant treks and you must see Phu Chi Fa. Phu Chi Fa is on top of the mountain and you have to go while it is still dark like 430 am walk up the trail (Long walk and be careful) and sit on top the cliff of te mountain looking to Laos and watch the sun rise. You will never see anything more beautiful in your life. It will be a trip worth taking, I promise. Also go see Doi Tung Royal Villa awsome flower garden in the valley of the mountains. and ring the bells on the walk to Wat Prathat Doi Tung

  6. I am from Chiangmai.
I can suggest you one thing.

If you go shopping at Night Bazaar, I’d suggest that you can bargain HALF of the shown price. :)
