What towns should I skip in Thailand and Cambodia?

I’m only going for two months, so I don’t have time to see everything of course. I wanted to spend time in these towns:

CAMBODIA
Phnom Penh
Kampot
Sihanoukville
Battambang
SIem Reap

THAILAND
Chiang Mai
Chiang Rai
Bangkok
Ayutthaya
Kachamburi
Ko Samui Island
Surat Thani

I’m not big on party towns, I’d rather find somewhere peaceful to spend my time. Should I leave any of these destinations out? If anyone has any other places to add to this list that I may not have heard about, please respond! Thank you!

  1. If you are that sort of a person then in Cambodia Kampot/ Kep over Sihanoukville definitely,
Siem Reap you cannot skip by no means, but Phnom Penh can be easily skipped.

So, Cambodia – Siem Reap, Kampot/ Kep, Battambang for you.
Kampot / Kep are definitely the places where ppl come to peacefully spend their time.

  2. Cambodia’s towns to skip: Kampot, Battambang if you have to….

Phnom Penh: its capital, can’t skip

Kampot: just a very little small village claimed as a town with ugly water and dirty sand…but nice crabs there better than Sihanoukville

Sihanoukville or Kampongsom: the beach…white sand if you love the sea..

Battambong: A rice town, 2nd after Phnom Penh for wealthy ppl and lifestyle. there’s mountain called Phnom Sampov with bat flying long at sun set, some temples there, and a dam of pol pot regime, but a resort now…

    Siem Reap: Angkor, can’t skip…
